Youth group

We run a fantastic programme for our young people at Christ Church Felixstowe. If you're in years 7 to 13, this is for you!

We meet during the services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month (and on the 5th Sunday if there is one), although this sometimes changes around Christmas, Easter, and when the Church has our weekend away each year.

Our leaders are passionate followers of Jesus, and want to encourage you in your own journey of life and discipleship. There'll be a chance to think and chat about different topics, and your opinion is really valued in these conversations.

We offer:

A safe space for everyone
Fun and thought-provoking time together
A chance to make deep friendships
Leaders with up-to-date safeguarding training and DBS checks

On the Sundays when we're not upstairs, we're encouraged to join in with the service downstairs. You can sit and be part of the congregation, or there are opportunities to work our impressive tech desk, to join in with leading the music, or to take part int he services by reading, saying prayers, or even by telling your stories. We meet together every Sunday morning at 10:30am, and we'd love to welcome you.

What should I expect?
A warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, great music, and cake! Our services include singing, praying, words from the Bible, and teaching about how to follow Jesus. There's normally a chance to be prayed for during or after the services, too, if there's something specific you're concerned about. Don't worry, though - we won't ask you to do or say anything you don't want to, and there's no pressure on anyone.
Our services are live-streamed on YouTube, and you can view previous ones here, to give you a better idea of what goes on.

What about my children?
Children are welcome here. Most weeks there are groups and activities for ages 0 - 17, or they can stay in the main worship area if they'd prefer. There's more information here!

Is the building accessible?
Yes. We have wheelchair access, disabled toilets, and a hearing loop. It's a modern and comfortable space, and you can sit at the back if you want - especially if you're new and not sure how things go.

What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in - there's no dress code.
