Dedication or Infant Baptism

A service of dedication or thanksgiving is a wonderful opportunity to give thanks for your new child. We would love to offer this to all who want to give thanks for their child’s birth. Infant baptism, also known as a christening, is a rite of entrance into Christ’s church and commitment by parents to bring their child up in the Christian faith. Please contact our Church Office for further details. Infant baptisms and dedications usually take place during the morning service on a Sunday.

Confirmation

If you have been baptised, either as a child or an adult, being confirmed is an opportunity to confirm the promises & commitments your parents made on your behalf at your christening or baptism. Confirmation classes are run periodically at CCFX. If you are interested in being confirmed please contact the Church Office.

Adult Baptism

If you were not baptised as a young child, you may now be considering making this commitment as a teenager or adult. Please get in touch with the Church Office if you would like to know more.
Baptism shows others that you have been made new. It represents your old sinful life being washed clean because of your faith in Jesus.

For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives. Romans 6:4 NLT
If you have never been baptised or maybe you have and want to rededicate your life, we strongly encourage you to sign up for the next baptism service. We have many opportunities throughout the year and we want to celebrate with you as you choose to declare Jesus publicly!

Weddings

If you live in CCFX Parish or have a “significant” connection with Christ Church, you can apply to have your wedding service at CCFX. If you would like to know more about holding your wedding ceremony at Christ Church, Felixstowe please contact the Church Office.

Funerals

A funeral is an opportunity to give thanks for a person’s life and to say farewell to your loved one.  For information on holding a funeral at CCFX please contact the Church Office.

Fees

Please contact the Church Office for latest fees.

Planning your Visit

We're so glad to see you!

Happy people worshipping in the church

We meet together every Sunday morning at 10:30am, and we'd love to welcome you.

What should I expect?
A warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, great music, and cake! Our services include singing, praying, words from the Bible, and teaching about how to follow Jesus. There's normally a chance to be prayed for during or after the services, too, if there's something specific you're concerned about. Don't worry, though - we won't ask you to do or say anything you don't want to, and there's no pressure on anyone.
Our services are live-streamed on YouTube, and you can view previous ones here, to give you a better idea of what goes on.

What about my children?
Children are welcome here. Most weeks there are groups and activities for ages 0 - 17, or they can stay in the main worship area if they'd prefer. There's more information here!

Is the building accessible?
Yes. We have wheelchair access, disabled toilets, and a hearing loop. It's a modern and comfortable space, and you can sit at the back if you want - especially if you're new and not sure how things go.

What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in - there's no dress code.

What's next?
