Meet the team

If you come along to church on a Sunday, you will probably meet some, or all, of the following people.

Our clergy

Dom Portrait

Our vicar

Dom Turner has been our vicar since early 2025. He is married, has two children and a small dog, and loves to play board and computer games.

Dom has overall responsibility to lead the church, and regularly preaches at our Sunday services. You can normally find him at the front somewhere on Sundays, and he'd love to meet you if you're new to the church community. Come and say hello!

Peter and Liz

Our associate vicars

Peter and Liz Livey are our associate vicars here at Christ Church. They are married, originally from Scotland, and between them share a variety of leadership responsibilities here at the church. In particular, Peter leads our regular Alpha courses, and Liz has a passion for prayer ministry. They both preach regularly at the church, and are always very friendly!

Richard F
Jason

Our church wardens

Richard (top) and Jason (bottom) are our church wardens. They are responsible for the practical aspects of the building, and on Sundays they're normally about to help ensure the smooth running of the services. They'd love to meet you.

There are plenty of other people you might meet on a Sunday, and we're going to add some of them to this page soon. Why not come along and meet us?

Planning your Visit

We're so glad to see you!

Happy people worshipping in the church

We meet together every Sunday morning at 10:30am, and we'd love to welcome you.

What should I expect?
A warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere, great music, and cake! Our services include singing, praying, words from the Bible, and teaching about how to follow Jesus. There's normally a chance to be prayed for during or after the services, too, if there's something specific you're concerned about. Don't worry, though - we won't ask you to do or say anything you don't want to, and there's no pressure on anyone.
Our services are live-streamed on YouTube, and you can view previous ones here, to give you a better idea of what goes on.

What about my children?
Children are welcome here. Most weeks there are groups and activities for ages 0 - 17, or they can stay in the main worship area if they'd prefer. There's more information here!

Is the building accessible?
Yes. We have wheelchair access, disabled toilets, and a hearing loop. It's a modern and comfortable space, and you can sit at the back if you want - especially if you're new and not sure how things go.

What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in - there's no dress code.
